Mahindra Centuro Launced on 1st July
Mahindra Two-wheeler, the two-wheeler arm of home grown marquee Mahindra & Mahindra, is all set to launch the new Mahindra Centuro on 1st July. The Centuro was unveiled with Pantero earlier this year and all the specifications were also disclosed by the manufacturer. The Centuro is also a 110cc commuter bike and features the same engine that of the Pantero, however it is a more premium product. The Mahindra Centuro comes with some first-in-segment features including central locking anti-theft system, engine immobilizer, remote 128 bit encrypted key, maintenance free battery, find me lamps, guide lamps, LED pilot and tail lamps and digital instrument cluster with service indicator and distance to empty meter.
The bike is likely to compete with the likes of Discover 100T, Hero Passion XPRO and Dream Yuga. The bike will be available in three different variants, however none of the three variants feature a disc brake. The Centuro will be powered by a 106.7cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 8.5 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 8.5 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The MCI-5 engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and the Pantero boasts an ARAI certified mileage of 79.5 kmpl.
