Rolls-Royce Wraith to launch in India on August 23
With a monster twin turbo V12 under the hood, the Wraith will be the most powerful Rolls to roll into India
The Rolls Royce Wraith will be launched in India on the 23rd of this month. It is dubbed as the most powerful and sporty Rolls ever made, being the only two-door coupe in Rolls’ line-up presently.
The Wraith is powered by a 6.6-litre Twin Turbo V12 engine which produces a mammoth 633PS and an earth churning 800Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which uses GPS technology to pre-select an appropriate gear ratio to deal with the terrain ahead! The Wraith can reach 100kph from a standstill in just 4.4 seconds which is remarkable for such a heavy and luxurious car.
The interior, in true Rolls style, is bathed in leather and wood veneers. The Wraith is based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost, which in turn is based on the BMW 7-Series. However, it has a 183mm shorter wheelbase than the Ghost, 130mm shorter length, 40mm wider rear track and 43mm lower height. Rolls has tested the Wraith on the Nürburgring circuit in Germany to fine-tune its sport character. The suspension has been stiffened to control body roll and improve cornering as well.
