World’s Most Expensive Motorcycle Is Made Of Gold
Tarhan Telli, a wealthy Turkish motorcycle enthusiast is the owner of the world’s most expensive motorcycle. The rich set of wheels is based on a frame, which is made entirely of gold. The cruiser bike boasts of a mythological theme all around. The big sized gas tank is highlighted by a Medusa sculpture, while the rear end is finished with serpents. Telli wanted to avoid heavy dosage of chrome and shiny bits on the bike.
To ease out the bling factor of gold, the motorcycle wears a rusty tone of brown and grey colour shades with an aged and weathered appearance for a unique look. It took over a year to build the custom motorcycle from ground up. The bike features a 1801cc RevTech V-Twin engine that produces a maximum power of 125 HP, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. With all the heavy elements including the hefty engine, the motorcycle weighs over 700 pounds (317 kgs).
Telli has kept the actual cost of the bike a secret. According to the experts’ prediction, the value of the gold frame alone stands out to be over $1 million (Rs. 6 crores), that’s worth a customized Rolls Royce Phantom in India. Telli has also submitted an entry to the Guinness Book of World Records for the title of World’s Most Expensive Motorcycle. Until now, the title was held by the MTT Turbine Superbike, which costs $1,85,000 (Rs. 1 crore).
